Privacy policy

Last updated 1 August 2026. Written to be read, not to be survived.

This policy explains what personal data Performetra Media (“Performetra”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It covers this website, our advertiser campaigns and our publisher network.

1. Who we are

Performetra Media operates the performance marketing network at https://performetra.com. For questions about this policy or to exercise any right described below, write to services@performetra.com.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Enquiry data. Name, work email, phone number, company, vertical and target geographies submitted through forms on this site.
  • Partner onboarding data. For publishers and advertisers who join the network: business details, tax identifiers, payment details and identity documentation where required by law or by our banking partners.
  • Correspondence. Emails, chat messages and call notes relating to campaigns.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Website analytics. Pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type.
  • Campaign tracking data. When a user clicks a tracking link we process a click identifier, timestamp, IP address, user-agent, device identifiers supplied by the operating system or a mobile measurement partner, and the publisher and sub-publisher involved.

2.3 Lead data processed for advertisers

On lead generation campaigns we receive contact details submitted by an individual to a publisher landing page and pass them to the advertiser who paid for that campaign. In this activity the advertiser is the controller of that data and we act as a processor on their instructions, under a written agreement.

3. Why we process it

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the services requested (contract).
  • To attribute conversions, detect fraud, calculate payouts and issue invoices (legitimate interests and contract).
  • To meet tax, accounting, anti-money-laundering and other statutory obligations (legal obligation).
  • To send service updates to registered partners (contract), and marketing only where you have opted in (consent).

4. Fraud prevention

Detecting invalid traffic requires processing technical data such as IP address, device identifiers, click timing and conversion patterns. We consider this a legitimate interest of both Performetra and our advertisers: without it, advertisers pay for conversions that did not happen and honest publishers are paid less. Data used for this purpose is not used to build marketing profiles of individuals.

5. Who we share data with

  • Advertisers, where you submitted your details to a campaign run for them.
  • Mobile measurement partners and tracking platforms that perform attribution for a campaign.
  • Service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, accounting and payment processing, under contract and only for those purposes.
  • Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use one advertiser’s campaign data to price or optimise another advertiser’s campaign.

6. International transfers

We operate across India, the Gulf, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States, so data may be transferred outside your country of residence. Where data originates in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, transfers are made under standard contractual clauses or another lawful mechanism.

7. Retention

  • Website enquiry data: 24 months from last contact.
  • Click and conversion logs: 24 months, for dispute resolution and fraud analysis.
  • Lead data processed for advertisers: retained only for the dispute window agreed with that advertiser, then deleted.
  • Financial and tax records: as long as applicable law requires, typically eight years in India.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Indian residents hold these rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; residents of the EEA and UK under the GDPR and UK GDPR.

To exercise any of them, email services@performetra.com. We respond within 30 days. If your data was submitted to a campaign, we will tell you which advertiser received it so you can contact them directly as the controller.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS, access is restricted to staff who need it, and lead data is not retained beyond the agreed dispute window. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data and the law requires notification, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the statutory period.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly process their personal data. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Registered partners will be notified by email before changes affecting them take effect.
